Europe continues to the right

This Time article I received from Mr. Davis discusses the growing mood in Europe: “The March to the Far Right”.

(The author’s opinions of the political movements are clear from the references to jackboots and the like.)

I suspect that the anti-immigrant sentiments and the fear of growing Muslim influence that currently swirls in Europe may give more credibility to a religious power that can authentically stand as a symbol of a “European Europe” and that can be the glue to hold together the iron and clay of Daniel 2:41-43.  Actually, the article addresses this iron and clay nature of Europe, as the very forces that are pushing the continent to the far right also tend to be anti-EU, though, as the article mentions, they are willing to use the EU as a tool to achieve their ends.

While I was gathering the information about the reply I made in your previous post, George Washington made another interesting comment.

“Some day, following the example of the United States of America, there will be a United States of Europe.”

Concidering the historical nature of the relationship between nations and how God rules over them, the bad news does lead to the good news!

“In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria–a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance” (Is 29:24-25)
