I partially agree, Brian. The message is not incomplete, but the mission is not yet finished. All the more, then, do I wonder how in the world someone can consider himself to be a part of what Christ is doing in the world while refusing to be a part of Christ’s work.

No, the message is not incomplete, but there is still much more work to do. Why not take a break from making up forced criticisms, roll up your sleeves, and pitch in?

When the Church of God actually does witness directly to the President and the top political leadership of the Israelitish nations (like the prophets did- to the King, etc), then we can truly say the Church provided the Ezekiel warning to modern Israel. Until then, the message currently given is very much incomplete.

I agree, Norbert. It is possible to present the truth powerfully, to “cry aloud and spare not” concerning the message one has been given, and to show respect to an office at the same time. Daniel is a good example of that.

Paul illustrates well that the way in which the message is delivered is important, and that it can differ as times and circumstances change, though the truth is always constant and never diluted.

It’s not as if Daniel didn’t have the best regards for Nebuchadnezzar and that ancient version of the Presidency.

“Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity” (Dan 4:27)

Despite Daniel’s instructions and hope that it will lengthen the prosperity for Nebuchadnezzar as it did do, the decree of the Most High eventually came to pass.

Mr. Smith – Thanks for posting your dream segment! I think it reflects what is undoubtedly in many hearts right now, and that is frustration with our national situation and the yearning to stop the train we see barreling towards us. With the 4th of July coming up it’s particularly hard to see the fruits of our nation’s sins all around us. When we sing “God bless America, land that I love” – we mean it. Anyway, it’s great to know that you are ready to give an answer if and when your turn comes up to speak to the President. I particularly liked the “first step” wisdom your dream showed. Thanks for sharing.
