We spent the day at the Field Museum and the following day at the Shedd Aquarium. My son couldn't get enough of the German U-Boat display at the museum! I always wanted to return and spend another day at the museum with them because of the fun time we had there; but being on the west coast, regretably we never did. A person needs more than 1 day at this museum to do it right. I remember taking my son and daughter on a trip to Chicago back in the early nineties when they were 10 and 8. My favorite spot is the Chicago Botanic Gardens (especially the Japanese garden), but I suspect the boys would find it boring! The Museum of Science and Industry would be more to their liking.
