If I can just figure out how to scan it into Finale without appreciable loss, then set the parts right, I not only might be able to give you a definitive answer, I might even be able to create a sound file. As it is, to me it looks weird, but harmonic.

And I think this map was made before the songs “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” and “Amarillo by Morning” came out — not to mention “Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind”!

If it is the same link I remember clicking (in the comments), it seems there was some debate as to whether or not the music was actually taken from the sheet music or not. I did not take the time to listen while looking at the notes to try and figure that out–and given my meager skills (using the word “skills” generously), I’m not sure I could have, anyway.

Actually, there’s a recording of it available on the website that has that map. Not the strange maps site, but one that’s linked to from there.
